Leah Fenning

Leah Fenning is the Lead Reporting Radiographer here at NWEITA, leading on our Community of Practice for Reporting Radiographers across a number of modalities. She leads our education and training CPD plan for this workforce group.

Clinically Leah works as the Lead Reporting Radiographer at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust and is qualified in musculoskeletal, chest, and abdominal reporting. She holds a Master’s degree and is a member of the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR) Diagnostic Imaging Advisory Group.

Passionate about education and professional development, Leah is actively involved in training, mentoring, and supporting the next generation of reporting radiographers. In addition, she holds honorary lecturer positions at several universities across the UK. One of the highlights of Leah’s career was contributing to the Gulu Diagnostic Imaging Project in Uganda, where she taught image interpretation and supported the development of diagnostic imaging education. More recently, she co-authored the 14th edition of Clark’s Positioning in Radiography. The publication features Leah’s proudest achievement—her daughter—who made her modelling debut in the paediatric imaging chapter.

Outside of work, Leah enjoys spending quality time with her family, keeping fit, and travelling to make the most of life’s adventures.
